New tunes! Modeselektor cover and Pick a Piper remix
YESYES. It’s been a busy week here at Vessels HQ – we’ve recently drip-fed you some snippets from our forthcoming release; a 12″ vinyl featuring the full-length version of ‘Elliptic‘ on one side and our cover of Modeselektor’s ‘Blue Clouds‘ on the other, plus a bonus digital ep featuring the radio edit of ‘Elliptic’ plus two new tunes (which those who’ve seen us live recently will recognise) – ‘Myopic Biopic‘ and ‘Come Out Of The Sky And Fight This‘. We’ve had the test-pressings back for the vinyl and they’re sounding super sweet, so we’re on target for the release date for this EP on November 25th (pre-orders can be bought from our bandcamp and those who pre-order will receive immediate downloads of ‘Blue Clouds’ and ‘Elliptic (radio edit)’ ). Keep your eyes peeled for a strange new video from us between now and then…
In other news, Mr Lee has done a wondrous Vessels remix of ‘All Her Colours‘ by Pick a Piper (Caribou drummer Brad Weber’s other band).

New ‘Attica’ Live Video and UK Dates
So the first drips of new Vessels material will finally drop into the drums of your ears via the medium of this awesome video by Leeds film maestros The Blind Club. Filmed at The Garage nightclub in Leeds, the tune ‘Attica’ is a bit of a peek at the kind of setup we’re playing through now, and was filmed in mega HD using the same cameras as were used to film JRR Tolkien’s “The Bobbit” starring Terrance Trent D’Arby and Clamidia Barrywhistle.
If you cannot view YouTube, don’t worry it’s also on Vimeo.
So together with the German and Austrian dates we’re now booked to play some UK shows – a welcome return to the Brudenell in Leeds and another show with Eat Your Own Ears, this time at Cargo.
Please, please, please get your tickets in advance as it breaks our tiny soiled hearts to turn you scooners away at the doors of a sold-out show…
