Be sure to pick up a copy of this month’s Rocksound magazine, which has a shiny CD on the front containing the album-version of ‘Look at that Cloud!’. We also got 4K out of 5 in Kerrang the other week.
Boon.

It got a whopping 9/10 today in Whisperinandhollerin. Woo Ha!
Xx
ps sorry about the continuing technical issues, it seems this site keeps getting hacked by ’spambots’ or something intent on selling viagra and guff like that. We’ll try and sort it asap.
pps check out Paper thin walls for a cheeky blag…………

The album White Fields and Open Devices will be in the shops from Monday 18th August, and will feature these 10 tracks in this order:
- Altered Beast
- A Hundred Times in Every Direction
- Happy Accident
- An Idle Brain and the Devil’s Workshop
- Walking Through Walls
- Trois Heures
- Look at That Cloud!
- Yuki
- Two Words & a Gesture
- Wave Those Arms, Airmen
Sorry we’re making ya’ll wait so long, but that’s the way things go in the Land of Vessels. Deadlines have no meaning here.
In the meantime we have a shiny new video, a live version of Altered Beast shot at the Goonite club in the Buffalo Bar, London, by Tree Productions (contact 07862 708 130), which you can see on the myspace or the vids/music page here, also linked to by the lovely LostAtSea.net on their Media Stream.
And don’t forget the download-only single (released June 16th) with a selection of other tasty treats, two of which are exclusive to this release:
- A Hundred Times in Every Direction
- The Beast (Pachyderm version)
- Yuki (album version)
- Descent (Yuki Remix)
Enjoy!
Hey there! With the bulk of the tour now over, we are all set for the hometown gig at the Brudenell this saturday, where we will be metaphorically launching our new download-only single ‘A Hundred Times in Every Direction’ (there’s no wireless access at the Brud, you see) with a fine selection of musicians to accompany us in the form of Cats & Cats & Cats, Graham Garside, The Smokestacks and Two Minute Noodles. 7pm doors, so get an early dinner!!!!
Also, thanks to Gideon Coe for playing the new version of Yuki not once but TWICE on his BBC6 show. The man obviously has taste.
Xx

We’re now six dates into our tour, and half of our equipment is in the repair shop after all the gear that’s been on the blink for months decided to totally pack it in during one 45 minute set in Cardiff. The gig was ace fun despite the multitude of gremlins, and hopefully we’ll get the equipment back tomorrow in time or a session on Select radio and a gig at Industry in Shoreditch tomorrow.
For a full blog of the tour, check the MEGABOON, as Pete’s well more on the case in terms of regular updates than me.
I also notice that in the recent technical issues on this site, we lost the lovely Luke Drozd picture of the album cover, so I’ll spang it back right here:
At last, the fruits of last December’s labours begin to trickle into your ears…..
Check the myspace for a listen to the A-side of the new single (fully pretentiously-titled as should be expected by now) ‘A hundred times in every direction’. aka Big Nod. aka The Two Drum Kits One. Those of you whove seen us live in the last 7/8 months might well remember it. When it lands in our usual digital retail outlets (June 14th single launch party at the Brudenell) there will also be available for download the album version of Yuki (featuring live Bosendorfer piano fed through a delay pedal - check for the mad ultra high harmonics on the delays, and Congleton’s magic touch mixing the electronics), a new recording of The Beast, and a beauty remix by Lee of the original Yuki, titled ‘Descent’.
In the meantime, enjoy the single.

Hi there folks. Come on down to the Cockpit this Thursday for an awesome gig featuring us, The Paper Chase (featuring the producer of our album mr John Congleton) and Black Mountain.
Should be a spectacular evening’s entertainment!
ps Pete’s gone and sprained his wrist (……..DURP!), so we will be playing an old-skool set of pre-Pete tunage, with the invalid joining us for a bit of e-bow and a bit of singing.
Xx
Sorry about the lack of content on this here site. For some reason all the pages have gone and disappeared! Should be sorted out soon, but in the meantime please keep an eye on the Myspace for your vessels fix.
